Boardwalks to visitor center

Chilao Visitor Center Boardwalk Improvements

Bellfree Contractors successfully completed the Chilao Visitor Center Boardwalk Rehabilitation Project, restoring safe, durable, and accessible visitor infrastructure within Angeles National Forest.

The scope of work included the demolition and disposal of deteriorated boardwalk, bridge, deck, and fencing components, followed by the reconstruction of the entrance deck and pedestrian bridge. The project also involved installing new fencing, preparing and restoring existing wood surfaces through paint removal, and applying protective sealants to both new and existing structures to extend their service life.

These improvements returned the boardwalk system to safe public use, enhanced accessibility to the Chilao Visitor Center, and reinforced the long-term durability and preservation of this important recreational asset. The completed project reflects Bellfree Contractors' commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure that supports public access while preserving the natural character of our public lands.
