This trail starts next to Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge. It bypasses the steep start of the Descanso Trail and connects to it close to the top. This provides an easier grade to access the Cherry Canyon Trails or an option for a short loop with the Descanso Trail. Trail construction included a 110' block retaining. relocating fencing and planting of native plants.
